Wireless Data Acquisition (wDAQ) System for High Frequenecy Ultrasound Signals• sddec25-06

Project Overview

This project focuses on creating a Wireless Data Acquisition (wDAQ) system capable of capturing and wirelessly transmit high-frequency (MHz) analog ultrasound signals to a computer in real-time using Wi-Fi/Bluetooth technology. The system will resemble a standard commercial oscilloscope but with the added advantage of wireless signal transmission. The main goal is to minimize the use of BNC cables, especially when multiple channels are needed, thereby enhancing the mobility of any DAQ system, particularly for remote monitoring. The wireless data acquisition system is being designed and made for the purpose of gathering data in the ultrasound lab used by BioMedical students.

I am an Electrical Engineering major focusing on RF and semiconductors. My skills that contribute to this project includes C programming, MATLAB, communication, and quickly learning new things.

Merrick Czaplewski

Clinet Communications and Documentation

An Eletrical Engineering major, minoring in Astro-Physics, with a focus in semi-conductors and antennas, and is finishing up college strong. The abilities and skills he brings to the table are communcation, professional documentation, PCB and circuit design, understanding of LabView and other similar programs, creativity and a good listening ear.

Rocco Yassini

Electrical/Embedded Engineer

Rocco Yassini is an Electrical Engineering student at Iowa State University. He has an intrest in integrated electronics and semiconductor physics. The useful skills he utilized for this project are C programming, knowledge of ADC and circuit design/analysis.

Jerry Liu

Testing and Innovation

I am majoring in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Embedded Systems and Semiconductor Technology. The skills I contribute to this project include Embedded Systems Design and Programming, MATLAB, Simulink. I am proficient in Verilog and digital VLSI design, and am good at quickly adapting to new technologies and challenges.
